| London is a bronze sculpture of a beautiful little 4 year old girl. I met London at her Grandparent's home in Kentucky and we visited on a lovely patio area overlooking a garden. London, in this sculpture is seated on stump and is holding some flowers she has picked. When she reaches up to give her Grandmother two Calla lilies, she is unaware of the Butterfly that is about to land on them.
Children are my favorite subjects to sculpt. They are so natural and lively and are a wonderful inspiration. As I watched London play I could envision this sculpture of her offering flowers to her Grandmother. If you look closely, hidden within the bark of the stump are some typical garden visitors. The patinas on this sculpture are Ferric and Cupric Nitrates along with traditional French Browns. The sculpture has been clear coated and waxed so it is suitable for outdoor installations in a Garden or Park setting. |

Sculpture that captures the spirit of a brief moment caught in time and space... sometimes nostalgic, sometimes whimsical, ...but always heartening, energetic, and full of life.
